[The Worcester Poet's Asylum needs your help!!!]

Hey everyone! The Worcester Poet's Asylum needs your help!!!

We are currently trying to sign up members to Poetry Slam Inc. The venue that has the most members sign up by March 28th wins two hotels at Nationals and $300 travel money. (Prize total: approximately $1200). This would be $1200 less money we would have to raise to send our team to Nationals.

PSI was organized to

• Advocate, promote, support, witness and/or perpetuate the art of performance poetry.

• Enhance the perception of literary merit and legitimacy of performance poetry as an art form.

• Manage the affairs of the international Poetry Slam community.

• Protect the artistic and financial interests of the international Poetry Slam community.

• Promote and perpetuate the National Poetry Slam (NPS).

The mission of Poetry Slam Incorporated (PSI) is to promote the performance and creation of poetry while cultivating literary activities and spoken word events in order to build audience participation, stimulate creativity, awaken minds, foster education, inspire mentoring, encourage artistic statement and engage communities worldwide in the revelry of language.

Membership Info

$15 NPS Basic

Allows NPS participation and voting rights. First time members receive a novelty Poetic License and a Certificate of Slambership suitable for framing.

Who couldn't use a Poetic License? They come in handy sometimes.

Now you are asking yourself: "How do I sign up?" Well, you can go HERE! Please remember to put WORCESTER in the venue area of the form or else we will not get credit for your membership.
