[When the world gets too heavy...]

So yesterday was a very big day for me. At 5 pm I left a note on my bosses door that said: "Today will be my last day here. May I sugest that in the future when you hire for this position, you advertise it as Receptionist with some Customer Service Skills." And then I walked out with my personal items. I have never left a job without giving notice, but I really didn't see the point of staying there any longer. My new job is not supposed to start until March 20th, but I talked to the shelter and they think that they would like me to start sooner. We haven't worked out the details yet, but I am not worried.

It is a new day in my life. I received the portable dishwasher that I had bought on Ebay on Tuesday and now my kitchen is spotless. All I needed was a little bit of encouragement to start the cleaning.

When I went outside today, it felt like spring. The crocus' are poping up and a stray tulip is forcing it's way through the ice in the garden. I love it. I feel alive. I have energy. I want to do something crazy like drive to Michigan just to say hi to Steve Marsh. I want to take someone with me, just to feel those feelings again. The re-awaking of self.

And all that it took was a portable dishwasher, a sponteous job quitting, and the first signs of spring...it is a new day!

BTW-Goldie says hi.

The Quiznos' commercials scare me, but I think that was what they were going for.
